THERE IS NO NOUBT that renewable energy sources will eventually be competitive with oil (it WILL run out and get gradually/steadily more expensive). Hydro/wind/solar sources are expensive to install but not to maintain and they are local. We must develop these now while we have time to perfect them. You build a boat before the flood not during the flood.
