You need the framework to do anything; in fact, the IDE stuff is itself written in Dabo. Hey, if Ken can write the Class Browser in VFP, I can write the ClassDesigner in Dabo!

Subversion is not required, but if you plan on working with the IDE stuff, it is recommended, since that stuff changes frequently.
