Hi Paul I can't recommend a different treeview control, but will instead recommend using the MS control in a slightly different way. What you could do is attach an ImageList with different coloured images. So instead of all the nodes being just plain white (standard), you could have blue, red, green etc images. You could then attach the different coloured images as appropriate. I have used this technique to highlight nodes in a treeview and find it works very well.
