Hi Paul

I can't recommend a different treeview control, but will instead
recommend using the MS control in a slightly different way. What you
could do is attach an ImageList with different coloured images. So
instead of all the nodes being just plain white (standard), you could
have blue, red, green etc images. You could then attach the different
coloured images as appropriate. I have used this technique to highlight
nodes in a treeview and find it works very well.

Subject: Treeiew alternative

Hi all

I have spent a while trawling through the archives to see if anybody has
previously mentioned alternatives to the MS treeview control. I don't
necessarily need advanced option like radio buttons etc etc biut I do
need the ability to change font style and color on a per node basis.

The products mentioned (Mabry Tree/X and DBI Tech ctTree) are way too
expensive - don't get me wrong they would be value for money if I were
working on a project that was going to make a lot of use of them but I
cannot justify spending that amount for the little "at home" project I
am working on. It's a pity DBI don't have individual component pricing.
BTW mabry.com seems to be down (dead ?). I have also looked at
TreeViewX (by Infragistics) but at GBP 180 it is also beyond my budget.

So - does anybody have any other suggestions ?
