I made a Flickr feed for Fox people to post Fox photos.
http://www.flickr.com/groups/foxpro/
I *think* made the group so it's publicly viewable but I think you may
have to join to post photos (yeap, I'm a Flickr newbie).
If you have any trouble email me at [EMAIL PROTECTED]
I was going to post a photo from a conference to try and inspire you all
to come to SouthWest Fox. You know, a picture is worth a thousand words?
But then I realized that I don't have any I took, and I can't post other
people's pictures w/o permission. I'm willing to be bad, but not
disrespectful. So, of course I thought it would be wonderful if there
was one-stop perusing for us? Okay, okay, so I thought it would be
wonderfully *convenient* for _me_ if you all would kindly put the pics
in one place. :-)
By the way, what Ted and Andy and others have said: go to the
conference. I haven't been financially able to go every year, and there
were a few years I couldn't go at all, and I missed it.
Every one I've been to has repaid what I've had to spend either directly
or indirectly many times over. Tangible benefits like business
connections and improved skills to intangible benefits like exposure to
techniques I hadn't even heard about, to recharged, professional
batteries. You can swap war stories on handling difficult clients or
bosses and come away with lifelong friends.
Oh, and if you're thinking "why bother? Fox is dying." Phffft! The tool
is not going to evaporate and the customers for whom FoxPro is a great
fit are still going to be out there for decades. And if you think you
know it all anyway, well, come and share some of what you've got cuz I
sure as hell don't know it all. ;-)
