Hi all,
What would be the equivalent in SQL Server syntax to do the following:
* I have two related tables: Persons and EmailAdd
* The relate by the PersonID field in each table,
* what I want to do is find the matching record
* in the EmailAdd table and replace a default email address field
* in the person table. In VFP , I know I can do this:
*-------------------------------------------------------------------
SELECT 0
USE Persons
SELECT 0
USE EmailAdd ORDER PersonID
SET FILTER TO type = "PRIVATE" IN EmailAdd
SELECT Persons
SET RELATION TO PersonID INTO EmailAdd
REPLACE ALL DefEAddress WITH EmailAdd.EAddress IN Persons
*-------------------------------------------------------------------
I would like to be able to do the same using SQL Query Analyser directly
on an SQL Server DB
Any suggestions would be helpful
Philip
