Meta mapped to the left command key

I'm running OpenBSD/macppc 7.1 on my 2005 PowerBook G4. I was successful 
in getting meta mapped to the ESC key for GNU Emacs by adding the line: 
keyboard.encoding=us.metaesc to my /etc/wsconsctl.conf file, but I have 
been unable to find any information on how to get meta mapped to the 
left command key. Could someone please point me in the right direction?
