Hi, I just spent several hours figuring out that the ofwboot shipped with 4.7 apparently can't load bsd.rd from a freshly formatted HFS partition (made from the OS X 10.4 rescue CD on a Power Mac G4). I reverted to the version in 4.0(!) which immediately worked.
