Is there a way to configure postfix to remove old mail when the mailbox
size limit is reached instead of new mail being rejected?
The basic need is limiting the amount of disk space mailbox files are
using without rejecting mail
postfix *never* removes mail by design
in most setups it would even be impossible because the MTA don't have
access to the mail storage at all without invoke LMTP vor delivery and
so that's not implementable
besides that: for a user it is *unacceptable* that mail silently and
randomly disappears - how would you chosse it? which mails, how many,
how large, by what age, how do you determine the age at all in case of a
missing date header and so on
if a user don't care about his quota he will learn it the hard way and
the sender get a bounce - but you have no permission to delete random
mails silently
