Apologies for top-posting in my previous reply. Until I have my mail system working properly I have set up a temporary gmail account to send messages to this list and i'm not used to the gmail web-interface. I think I know how to do it properly now. Anyway - objective is to collect mail from a variety of sources and poke it into procmail (as root) for delivery. All help gratefully accepted. Thanks Mark
