I have the following log entry:
(Slightly modified to protect the innocent, changed actual name to user and
domain to example)

" 2014-02-24T16:45:12.836244+11:00 penguin postfix/smtpd[6520]: warning:
Illegal address syntax from localhost[127.0.0.1] in MAIL command:
<-timeshare.escape.artist-user=example....@atcturbo.com> "

I was getting the following email every 15 minutes for some 36 hours or so, and
today removed 'bounce' from notify_classes in main.cf

I use Postfix, Dovecot, Amavisd-new on an opensuse 13.1 server, however we use
fetchmail to collect mail from Isp's and some external servers. We have done
this for some years and apart from some glitches, usually my fault, it has been
a solid system.

>From what I can gather this is an internal problem. I have looked at the logs
>with an smtpd -v setting, but I found it gave no leads that I could understand
>that pointed me to anywhere other than localhost (127.0.0.1)

I can post the output of postconf -n. but I was thinking that maybe with the
minimum information above someone may give me pointers as to where to look for
this .-timeshare.escape.artist-.

Kind regards,
