I just want an advice from some better admins that I am.
I know something about mail related rfcs and something about postfix,
as I use it for something like an large volume sendings.
Here is the deal, when postfix is used only for outgoing mailings,
with a lot of typos and shit in emails, there is a lot of bounce
messages (5xx, no user no domain etc etc), so as the servers are used
only for sending, and the domain mx is on other server, all these
bounced mails are resend to the mx of the domain from which the send
mails.
for example on 100%mails with 20% of them bounced, the sending goes up
to 120% of the actual mails, because every bounce is resend.
In my case the example is not good, because I have about 40-50%
bounces (don't ask, online gamers make me cry , IM NOT A SPAMMER!)
So, can you provide me with some suggestions how can I really handle
this.
if there's a way to stop bouncing for 5xx...
or is it good to just restrict smtpd_recipient_restriction for the
address, the is the bounce rcpt to?
I have tried several things, I dont think one of them is OK, so please
point me to the right direction, 10x.
