- smtpd banner matters for inbound mail (i.e. for receiving)
- reverse dns matters for outbound mail (i.e. for sending)

many sites use different servers for these different roles (MX versus MSA).

no.

that said, if the reverse dns "looks dynamic" or "generic", then some
sites may block mail from your server.
