As it says, it sounds like you've got a connectivity problem to their servers, specifically one of their Indian MXes. > Also i dont know why they defer our server mails > > Mar 24 12:44:47 suk1 postfix/smtp[10336]: 6B2F4CF5AD: host > a.mx.mail.yahoo.com[67.195.168.31] said: 421 Message temporarily deferred - > 4.16.51. Please refer to > http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/defer/defer-06.html (in reply to end of > DATA command) As suggested, please read their explanation: START QUOTE If you are seeing the error "421 Message temporarily deferred - [numeric code]", where "[numeric code]" shows a specific diagnostic code (e.g., "4.16.51", "4.16.52") in your SMTP logs, this indicates that: 1. the message you attempted to send exhibited characteristics indicative of spam,and/or 2. emails from your network have been generating complaints from Yahoo! Mail users. END QUOTE That said, Yahoo (and Hotmail) are also known to permanently defer mail from "unknown" high volume sending IPs. You should lookup their guide on getting yourself whitelisted as a bulk sender if that's the case.
