Sorry, my machine is too slow to build KDE stuff. Just a small comment about pkg/DESCR. This text makes sense for documentation, but I'd rather rearrange it for DESCR. At very least you shoud drop the line:

Or something along these lines. In the end it is just a library for wrestling with MIME, and its name already communicate most of that text.
