I've been using it for a couple months but not in production yet. I use
'gem20 install --user-install fluentd' and run it from
'$HOME/.gem/ruby/2.0/bin/fluentd20'. I send events to it from python via
'fluent-logger' and log to files and elasticsearch. I only tried a few
plugins but so far everything works fine. Though it would be nice to have
a package with a _fluentd user, rc.d script, etc.

I am learning the ports system now since I need a newer version of collectd
(not the best choice for my first attempt but I do have the latest version
compiling with most plugins turned off). If I'm successful with that I may
attempt a fluentd port. I'm also interested in elasticsearch, kibana,
grafana, graphite, facette, and influxdb (the first three are easy to run,
the others I haven't tried yet).
