Hi.

As you are probably aware, Jasper and I have been working a lot during
the past few months on porting GNOME 3.
The initial work is now coming to an end and we are planning to merge
x11/gnome3 into the regular ports directory. The migration will take
place next week so that we have time during the s2k11 hakacthon (Sep
16->23) to fix the breakage (mostly due to dependencies changing) and
import new things so that we can easily update to GNOME 3.2 when it
comes out.

What this means is that starting next week and for about 2 weeks there
will be several gnome related breakages in ports. We appologize in
advance for the inconvenience but there is no way to finish the work
without this small 'broken' window.

If you have any question, please contact Jasper (jasper@) and myself
(ajacoutot@) directly.
Thanks!

The Hobbits...
