Looking for some test reports and an OK to commit this port. I've only lightly tested it on amd64. You can try the following to test it yourself:
1. start varnishd listening on port 80 and caching for a backend server running on localhost port 8080 via: #> varnishd -b localhost:8080 -F -s file,/tmp/vanishd.tmp,5M 2. start varnishncsa to witness varnishd activity #> varnishncsa 3. start a backend web server with test content on port 8080 4. point your browser, web performance tool, etc at your varnishd host and enjoy. I am particularly interested to hear from folks who scale up their varnishd tests both in terms of request rate/volume as well as memory allocated. Best regards, jim@
