I've been running 1.2.11 with basically the same diff as this
for a couple of days with no problems.

update-patches is much more pleasant if you do this instead:
pre-patch:
gunzip -c ${DISTDIR}/${DIST_MANAGESIEVE} | \
patch -z.managesieve.orig -p1 2> /dev/null
IMO this should go in shortly after unlock.
