don't do that.  this is a bad "feature" of audio(4).

to me, it seems the audio engine is somehow broken in this game.

hmm, such brilliancy as multiplying by 10 then rounding to a power
of two ... but then the comment about id's mixer doesn't inspire much
confidence either ... looks like a lot of guessing going on in there.

not really surprised the audio's borken.
