Hello all,

Have been fussing the net-snmp to get snmpd working on my 600 Alpha
running 4.2 GENERIC. Both the pkg on the ftp servers and a pkg made
from ports both core dump on start. (Have tried multiple times w/pkgs
from different ftp mirrors, too.)

Running /usr/local/sbin/snmpd returns silently to the command line.
Running /usr/local/sbin/snmpd -f (so it doesn't fork from the shell)
instantly returns:

pid 26890 (snmpd): unaligned access: va=0x16f091091 pc=0x16d47aa14
ra=0x16d47aaac op=ldl
Bus error (core dumped)

Anyone seeing anything different and/or got any other ideas?

Thanks much,
Kevin
