Hi, I updated the heartbeat (http://www.linux-ha.org) port to the latest interim verion 2.1.2-15. This version compiles and runs on i386 and sparc64. This version does not compile successfully anymore on sparc, I still have to figure out why, but I wanted to get this out.
The most important changes to the port itself are: * fixed multinode unicast communication * now includes hb_report The port tarball can be downloaded here: https://www.l00-bugdead-prods.de More about heartbeat on OpenBSD can be found here: http://www.linux-ha.org/OpenBSD. Thanks to all that pointed out that there is plainly no problem with using heartbeat multicast cluster communication on OpenBSD. comments, rants, especially feedback from testers are very welcome. any comments on including the port into the official ports tree? kind regards Sebastian
