In general I've resisted attempts by developers to customize firefox to their individual preferences. Can this behavior be controlled via the about:config page? If so it would be much better to leave the default behavior and individuals can customize their preferences via about:config.

setting "mousewheel.withcontrolkey.numlines" to "-1" changes the behaviour.

moving the mousewheel up get's us a bigger font and
we no longer need to turn the mouse by 180 degrees ... ;)
