This is a neat program for presentations or when I fail to find the small cursor on my multimonitor setup. There is no manpage, but you can see the syntax with 'highlight-pointer -h'. The program is <1,000 LOC.
Example:
$ highlight-pointer --show-cursor --hide-highlight \
--key-toggle-highlight 'H-z' -r 16 -o 3
This way, Super+Z toggles an outline around the cursor to draw
attention.
