Indeed.
Having had a quick look at gstsouploader.c, one possibility might be to hack
an environment name so that if (say) GSTREAMER_SOUP2 is set we reverse the
order of:
#else /* !G_OS_WIN32 */
libsoup_sonames[0] = LIBSOUP_3_SONAME;
libsoup_sonames[1] = LIBSOUP_2_SONAME;
#endif /* G_OS_WIN32 */
If something like that sounds sensible, I'm happy to have a look.
