Basically, the screen saver grabs the CPU for too long so the audio
process can't make progress: it misses its deadline and the hardware
plays a block of silence. If audio doesn't progress for too long,
sndiod assumes there's a permanent error stops.

There are few other code-paths, similar to the screen saver, that also
may hurt audio, including freeing big amounts of memory (browsers do
that).
