actually, it seems that the copy of atomicity.h that is being installed on amd64 is for i486. i took the atomicity.h from freebsd/amd64 and was able to compile a package which is located here: http://mirrors.protection.cx/~jolan/gnash-20060919.tgz i'm currently waiting for people with amd64/libstdc++ knowledge to confirm the fix.
