Greetings, I sent this patch to maintainer of the port. But have not yet heard from him since sent date of April 4, 2006. I believe that is ample/acceptable amount of time before forwarding it to the ports@
One thing worth noting is that this interface library is
no longer maintained by its author. In favor of:

Either way, the p5-pgsql port is sufficient for my needs
for very simple scripting/interfacing with PostgreSQL.
