hypermail

I use hypermail to display my mlmmj archives to the web.  It depends on 
pcre, which reports eol:

Checking for packages with security vulnerabilities:
pcre-8.45_4: Tag: deprecated Value: EOLed by upstream, use devel/pcre2 
instead

Is the intension to update hypermail to pcre2 aand if so, is there  a 
timeframe?
