devel/py-setuptools_scm >= 7.0.0

Currently the ports has devel/py-setuptools_scm at version 6.4.2, but I'm seeing some python packages now wanting setup_tools_scm >= 7.0.0
Now, setuptools_scm is widely depended upon by many python packages, and updating it over a major version boundary would probably cause all sorts of problems. 


So, does anyone have any objections to my creating a 
devel/py-setuptools_scm7 port for the latest version, currently 7.1.0?
