Hi Einar,
You might want to prefix the URL with "See also:" instead of "[1]:" to
pacify portlint. (I didn't find any reference to this in the porter's
handbook, but that was mentioned in the notifications on moving WWW to the
Makefile.)
I can't help with the committing though, unfortunately.

Putting the website in pkg-descr is obsolete. The website should be in a "WWW=<URL> statement after MAINTAINER and COMMENT statements in hte Makefile.
This question wasn’t about “the” website of the project, but a related url that is in the description.
