I have succeeded in building an executable after generating a single patch for version 15.07. I am using the distro's make instructions rather than freebsd port model because the distro specifies to run cmake before make, and freebsd ports do not require you run cmake first. I probably can rebuild using version 16, diff a new patch and reverse engineer the build back into freebsd port model. Please advise next steps. thanks
