JFTR, it seems a C++11 requirement did creep into PoDoFo no later than commit
r2025 in January, there is a line “struct tm _tm{};” in PdfDate.cpp. I don’t
know if that is the only place.

Hi,
it doesn't require C++11, it used to be configured with C++98 some time
ago. Having a backward compatibility with older compilers, especially
if it's not in the public API, is a good thing to do, at least for now.
I know, the C++11 is a decade old.
