I would just take the responsibility to merge the feature myself, but I'm currently too busy with other works. PdfObject automatic ownership handling[1] is a serious internal improvement for PoDoFo that allows for robust bug fixing of PdfObject missing parent bugs, allows objects in a PdfArray to have parent and add important features to be exploited in PdfField. I've tested if for months with no regressions.
