Hi there,

I'm trying to make sflow accounting work in a large network with a single sfacctd collector and a lot of agents (routers).

Internet traffic is accounted correctly (the flow only passes one router), but traffic between clients on two sites are counted double (the flow is reported from both the involved routers). All routers are configured to sample ONLY on their internal LAN interfaces - in both directions.

I need to figure out a way to determine if a flow has been counted twice, and I thought, including the IP address of the agent in the database, would allow me to do this.

However, I cannot seem to find, how to enable the logging of the agent IP in the database - Is this possible? How?

Or should I deal with this problem entirely differently?

Thanks so much in advance.

I was able to find a 6 years old post outlining the same issue i'm facing:

http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00414.html

Still, I'm not sure how to enable the required split between different agents. Ideally, something like adding an <agent_ip> (by whatever means - dynamic tagging?) column should solve my problem.

Thanks again.

/Thomas
