Hello Peter, the documentation is quite 'light' about this point, but some hints are in pmacct 0.8.0 FAQS and INTERNALS document. Some pointers are also included in samples configuration files into 'examples' directory of the tarball.
Now, few questions for you: have you enabled mmap() code by compiling the package with '--enable-mmap' switch (in 0.8.0, it's enabled by default) ? Are you receiving that warning message once in a while or regularly ? If it appears just at startup, for example, you may feel free to discard it (as it's stated in the error message). In a past installation (a regional backbone environment) i've successfully used 4096000 as 'plugin_pipe_size' and 2048, 4096 and 8192 as buffer sizes. Cheers, Paolo
