I have to say that I've seen similar issues related to that domain name, too (with a different plugin of mine). I'll probably have to exclude it or find some mapping to the working domain. Sounds like an ugly hack :-(
Hmm... just checked the logs of my other plugin again, and it seems like those secure-img* urls were a temporary thing. All recent lookups point to something like lastfm-img2.akamaized.net.
That said you might still get some invalid cached responses. Before you re-try a scan you might want to shut down LMS and delete cache.db to make sure you don't get those stale results.
