Hi, its the same story (other Hardware) on my side.
What i found is: There is no way to move or change the mip database. You need (AFAIK) a system with the same paths to the files as on your lms. i'll try to use my bigboyhardcore Notepbook and MusicIP Mixer to analyse the files and store the result into the metatags of the file and want (not done right now) use 'genpuid' (http://musicip.wikia.com/wiki/Integrating_MusicIP_with_SqueezeCenter) to read the tags on my lms system and build the db there.
