FWIW: I have been using the HLS variant of the plug-in since the BBC debarcle last year and it has/is working fine (for Listen Again and live streaming, mostly for BBC R2, R4 and R4 Extra). Sounds to me like Jerry1964's problem is definitely his LMS server. As BPA suggested - try -temporarily- disabling what you can on the server, with particular attention to antivirus, malware and firewall software as they might be fiddling with your traffic. Another thing to try is the physical network connections - could you e.g. swap network cables between the good and bad servers, maybe even swap NICs?
