It's alive, Jim! I can make the Loop device work as an SB player (which by the way is a little bit over the top since there is an SB3 connected to its analog input...) I could play mp3, a bit of flac...
I worked so well I wanted to try sync with another SB3. And I can't say the result is flawless with 2 sources 4 meter apart in the same room :) I tried bumping the network buffer to 1000 ms but it didn't change much (and I had to wait a while of the goddamn Loop to reappear) Will your design allow to synchronize physical players or will it be only software players? Anyway, for a standalone player it seems to perform very well. I'll test more thoroughly in the coming days and give a bit of feedback. I'm sure a lot of people will love your Airplay bridge.
