Hi Verulamius,
when using Max2Play you just have to install Shairtunes2 by clicking on
"install" on the Squeezebox Server tab of the Max2Play web interface (no
console or SSH needed). Second thing is, to make sure that Shairport on
the Audioplayer tab is not running (deactivate autostart) because
Shairtunes will create its own Shairport player.
An other option is to use the Shairport player on the audioplayer tab of
the web interface and NOT installing Shairtunes2. There is an option in
the advanced settings of Shairport where you may point it to the IP of
your Squeezebox Server ("Shairport/Squeezelite automatic Audio-Switch").
This will stop the Squeezelite player while playing via Airplay and
afterwards enable Squeezelite again when stopping Airplay.
