There's something very odd about any test on my M1 CLiC. However careful I am to stop play, stop sq2u, change params and restart, something often goes wrong thereafter and leaves me confused. On my Marantz it's fine. It's as if the CLiC has a memory of what it was doing before and gets itself in a knot. A complete power down and restart is then needed, but I've usually almost given up trying by the time I decide to do this. Each full cycle of for a single change can take many minutes if I go through the whole rigmarole including powering off, and I'm just not patient enough.
I don't know if you saw my edit to my previous post, and I'm not sure precisely what problem you say you have fixed. Suffice to say I really don't want LMS assuming anything at all about the volume,muted or otherwise, and I don't want the current volume display on the LMS GUI. If others do, then please make it an option. My player may be muted by remote, but the volume is not 0 when using headphones. I don't understand the 'mute on pause' function. I tried to find it in the manual but failed. Can you explain why any such function is needed and which parameter it is? It would help if the phrases used on the GUI were reflected in the manual. I struggle sometimes to work out what is what. I also noted at least one tool-tip still mentions the volume curve. LMS 7.9 on VortexBox Midi, Xubuntu 14.04, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps. LMS plugin UPnP/DLNA Bridge to MF M1 CLiC (to 405/2 amp & ESLs) & Marantz CR603 UPnP renderers. Minimserver (server) & upplay (control point) to same & to upmpdcli/mpd PC renderers. Squeezelite to Meridian USB Explorer DAC to speakers/phones. Wireless Xubuntu 15.10 laptop with firefox/upplay or Android 'phone with Squeeze-Commander/BubbleUPnP controls LMS/Minimserver.
