You don't have to set a special buffer directory. But if the devic does not appear, look at the log you should see that when sq2u probes the buffer directory at player discovery, it discovers that it cannot write there so it tears down immediately the player LMS 7.7.2 - 5 radio, 3 Boom, 4 Duet, 1 Touch, 1 SB2.
