Since the max2play distro doesn't have a capture device on sound output you'll have to use the snd_aloop approach.
Look at this thread - it is a bit old but I think it is OK http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?49584-Announce-WaveInput-for-Linux&p=404507&viewfull=1#post404507 The following is what I think an up to date set of commands would look like - no guarantees 1. Add the user squeezeboxserver (or whatever the id used in your max2play setup) to the audio group. sudo usermod -aG audio squeezeboxserver 2. Adding a "virtual soundcard" using the alsa driver snd-aloop. Command sudo modprobe snd_aloop. Check module added by using lsmod and also by arecord -l which should show many capture devices - check card no. as it is necessary in next steps. It will probably be card 1 on a bare Pi. 3. Make your application play through the device hw:1,0 4. Test recording your applications by recording from hw:1,1 5. Add wavin:hw:1,1 to squeezeboxserver favorites. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49584 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
