Ok maybe not a full rescan but it is doing a new and changed on both media and music folders even if I just click on rescan next to the media folder.
Ok, I can confirm that something unexpected is going on. But this isn't due to Smart Mix, but to the way LMS is running scans when importer plugins are involved. You'd see the same behaviour if you had MusicIP and/or iTunes (or some of Erland's plugins) installed and configure. In those cases LMS does run the scanner as an external process, rather than a thread in the server. This causes the slightly different behaviour you're describing.
