Could you please provide some information? What LMS version, plugin version? What server platform and hardware? What does server.log and scanner.log say?

Please note that there was a major issue with scanning larger collections using plugin versions prior to 1.1.0. Make sure you're running the latest version.

Rescan fails with corrupt DB-files on my LMS NAS.

What kind of NAS? Depending on the model you might need to use a really recent LMS build or you're likely to run out of disk space.
