For me, the plugin works - it finds stream URLs and they play. For some reason when your system gets a valid BBC URL - it fails . This has happened in the past and it is a BBC problem. This doesn't mean it cannot be improved but your BBC problem is probably not a Tunein problem. Have you tried making BBC WMA URL as a Favorite and seeing if it plays ? The original Radio / Search menu was there to support the older players and LMS which may have differing playing/transcoding capabilities de (e.g. SB1 can't do WMA, Sb3 can't do AC, PC based LMS could do AAC transcode but a ReadyNas one couldn't, Linux based LMS may or may not have WMA transcoding). This faciity just provide a playlist of URLs and once playing just the Name of the station was displayed. Touch & radio with colour displays and the concept of Apps were then created. Tunein also improved their "offering" providing station logos and metadata relevant to the stream and for PC/smart devices recording. So somebody decided a new Tune-in App was needed. My guess it was hoped that extra facilities could be offered in the future for subscription users. The Tune-in App was designed for new Touch/Radio players (i.e. I suspect it was expected choice of provided formats should be via Tune-in rather than by LMS/mysb.com) and so support of station logos and station metadata was added to the new Tune-in App. Then I think either Logitech pulled plug on development, got distracted by Google TV support or Marketing decided subscription stream (e.g. Spotify, Deezer, Wimp) were higher priority as most users do not care about the stream format and so no more development on Tunein. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97141 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
