I actually like the idea at least from a custom browse stand-point for a couple of reasons: 1. Occasionally I'll listen to a song or a song will come up where I will think where did I hear that song from and want to play the original and/or cover side-by-side. However, I think the functionality is already there to some extent as I don't have a terribly hard time finding other versions of a similar song title. 2. More common, I find cases where I am listening to jazz and/or bootlegs and I want to look for a specific version of a song. It isn't terribly easy once you get the same title to distinguish the artist or album. However, I can't see queuing up all of a same song at once. It's occasionally nice to hear a couple of versions of the same song. What I've thought about is somehow browsing by title and then seeing the album and artist that the title appears on in a second level: e.g. All Along the Watchtower | ------> Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland | ------> Bob Dylan - John Wesley Harding | ------> U2 - Rattle and Hum | ..... etc. Of course, I think this can already be done, right? using the Custom Scan module and the SQL? I haven't tried it, yet as it hasn't been that important to me and I'm not very good with SQL and I still find the underlying coding for the custom browse menus a bit confusing. -- emalvick ------------------------------------------------------------------------ emalvick's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=35382 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=93529 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
