Well for instance, I like having soothing music in my livingroom and kitchen start at night, so if I wakeup to go to the bathroom, it's not totally quiet, but it's not jarring..
But I like to fall asleep to music- or sometimes I fall asleep with the tv on a sleep counter- and i forget the player's synced. I rarely turn off the player in this case..
