OK, those log entries don't make any sense to me at all.  Things seem
to be happening in the wrong order and somehow Squeezebox Server itself
is stopping when you attempt the suspend.  That should only happen with
a shutdown request.  I think your SrvrPowerCtrl settings have gotten
messed up.

I suggest you uninstall SrvrPowerCtrl, making sure that you find and
delete the /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/perfs/Plugins/srvrpowerctrl.prefs
file.  Reboot your server and then reinstall SrvrPowerCtrl and start
again.

If you're going to use SrvrPowerCtrl for idle monitoring, you need to
completely disable the Gnome Power Manager.  If you really want to use
the built in Gnome power management, then disable SrvrPowerCtrl's idle
monitoring and install the ReallyPreventStandby plugin.  If you do
that, you'll need to configure your ubuntu box to auto-login. 
ReallyPreventStandby requires an active Gnome session to do it's job.
