You should have played the stream from a Terminal window.
OSX looked at rtsp:// and thought it was a Quicktime rtsp stream and
not a Realaudio rtsp stream - it is ambiguous.
Are you sure you pressed play with the rtsp URL or perhaps you didn't
wait long enough to see something like
